Currently based in Brooklyn, New York, Eddie Berg has worked at the intersection of art, technology, and film for more than 25 years. He has a successful track record of developing world-class arts buildings and projects that combine pioneering cultural ideas with inventive approaches to place-making and collaboration, driven by a commitment to building stronger, better connected, and more creative communities.
He was the Director of BFI Southbank from 2004-2011, leading the capital and artistic transformation of the former National Film Theatre site into one of the world’s most celebrated centers for film in all its forms.
He is the Founder and former CEO of the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) in Liverpool, the UK’S first large-scale arts center dedicated to producing and presenting digital and media arts.
Eddie was also CEO of Rich Mix in London, leading the Reimagining Rich Mix capital project, and conceiving the vision for the next phase of development of the 60,000 sq ft space.
Eddie is currently the Co-Founder and Director of 3LD INC in New York, a production studio for large-scale live, immersive performance and artworks; is a dedicated Mentor for NEW INC, the incubator for art and tech in NYC, and is Chair of Die Jim Crow, a New York-based record label dedicated to producing and releasing music by formerly or currently incarcerated musicians.
